My client is expanding the Battery and Energy Storage teams at all levels. We are looking for Battery Engineers with specific expertise in testing and developing products.
Your role
- Verification and qualification testing of new battery cells and energy storage solutions.
- Performance evaluation of battery cells under a complex set of System Requirements derived from Product level Requirements.
- Partnering with development teams to translate product level goals into cell and pack level performance targets; responsible for defining technical requirements and feasible deliverables.
- Fault-finding & Root cause analysis of issues.
- Coordinate and track activities with external organisations and suppliers ensuring requirements, schedules, and roles and responsibilities are met and well understood.
Your Experience
- You should hold a degree in a relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline.
- You should also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Battery Technologies, their fundamental electrochemical processes and their application in product environments.
- Capability to communicate complex issues to non-specialists in the field of Batteries and Electrochemistry will also be an essential skill set
- A working understanding of Battery Management Hardware and Embedded Battery Management Software is also desirable.
- Support with the creation and maintenance of project plans, scheduling and prioritisation of tasks in line with the wider programme, including coordination and alignment between teams.
- Identify key risks and opportunities in the project delivery and escalate where appropriate.
- A working knowledge of HV lithium-ion battery systems
